Job Description:
A part of the Vescom Global team, Vescom North America specializes in the development and production of high quality interior products, including wallcovering, upholstery and curtains.
Due to consistent growth, we are looking for a Digital Print Manager to strengthen our digital printing operation and drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, delivery and productivity.
This position will support the current operations as an additional member to the existing Digital Print Department and will report to the Vice President of Operations.
QUALIFICATION/SKILLS 5
years of large format industry experience operating digital printing and finishing equipment.
HP Latex and/or EFI UV printer experience preferred.
Pre-Press and Color management experience required.
Experience profiling with Barbieri LFP qb is a plus.
Knowledge of utilizing x-rite eXact required.
Superior color vision with an ability to see color accurately without sensitivity to multiple light settings Advanced Knowledge of standard graphics software programs including Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, and InDesign is a plus but not necessary.
Highly competent with Microsoft Office Suite, primarily Excel.
Commercial Printing experience preferred.
Experience with Caldera RIP software preferred.
Commercial Printing experience preferred.
Experience with ERP system preferred.
Bonus if Business Central.
Ability to multi-task and maintain a positive attitude under tight deadlines.
Highly organized and project management abilities necessary.
Result driven with attention to detail.
Effective written and oral communications skills.
Frequently bend and lift up to 50 lbs JOB REQUIREMENTS Participate in Digital Print Strategy and executive level decision making.
Oversee Digital Print employees and assign tasks as needed.
Plan, assign and adjust production priorities to meet customer demands.
Assist CSR's in client management and communicating project lead times and formulating quotes.
Direct the development of new processes, equipment and products.
Establish standardized work processes for safe, effective and efficient operations.
Maintain organization across digital files on the server as well as job tickets and prints within the department.
Create, open and close job tickets in Business Central ERP system.
Provide input and assistance to employees and management team on technical issues, problems and potential resolutions in a timely manner.
Assess jobs as they come in, fill out info docs and print assessment (Microsoft Excel) for billing/quote and planning purposes.
Process pre-press files through Caldera RIP software for printing in the most efficient way.
Analyze measurements (eXact) and resolve print color issues using knowledge of Delta E Standards and converting LAB readings into CMYK adjustments for Caldera corrections and/or source file adjustments.
Setup, maintain, calibrate and efficiently operate various digital printing, cutting & finishing devices such as printers, inspection and cutting tables.
Monitor output of the printed products to maintain color and quality standards.
Manage inventory of substrates, digital print consumables, and parts as needed.
Keep track of consumption and ordering within ERP system.
Other duties as assigned.
