Teacher Assistant Salary Per Salary Scale FLSA Status Non-Exempt Work Week Schedule Monday-Friday Work Hours 37.
5 Number of Months Per Year 10 The purpose of this position is to offer assistance to their lead teachers in a variety of school settings.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Must maintain confidentiality regarding records, student achievement and school matters Assists the lead teacher with supporting students understanding of instructional expectations and learning goals Helps with clerical duties such as classroom record keeping, grading papers, attendance, data collection and filing Monitors student behavior to help with discipline and safety in the classroom Performs general housekeeping duties as need When necessary, assists with feeding students, toileting and other needs they may not be able to do independently Attends Open House and Parent Night to assist Lead Teacher This position is essential for daily school operations and requires in person attendance.
